Giving our Tithes is commanded in Malachi 3:10, it is a way to put God first in your finances. And according to this scripture, when we pay our tithes we can expect the windows of heaven to be opened over us allowing abundant financial blessings to be poured out on us.

God also expects us to give offerings, according to Malachi 3:8 and givers can expect the blessings in Luke 6:38 - "...good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over..." According to Genesis 8:22, "...seed time and harvest shall not cease..." so anyone who sows financial seeds can expect a financial harvest.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38
